Blade of Ink

Tier C

Beta

“Gain devastating strength for a one turn kill”

Core idea

Blade of Ink is difficult to use but has high pay-off. Use Retain to get Blade of Ink together on the same turn as your multi-hit. Equilibrium is a particularly strong pairing with Storm of Steel, letting you hold your Storm of Steel for the right turn and having a big hand to use it on. Knife Trap pairs excellently with Blade of Ink too but does need some investment from othe shiv cards before it pays off. Fan of Knives can solve multi enemy encounters for this deck.

Support plan

Even the smaller, less impressive shiv cards can get good use out of Blade of Ink. They are also crucial for stacking Knife Trap if that is your main source of damage. The more shivs a card grants, the merrier. Flechettes can be an alternate win condition for this build, but still requires Shivs to be played out in advance and a large hand of skills. Add some defense and Weak to round out the build.

Weaknesses

A lot of these win conditions are difficult to pull off or take a cycle or two to get going. Hallway fights will be your main problem for this deck. Consider picking up some quick damage to offset this.
